Sorry, but I would object merely on the principle that if I don't use GTK or X, why should there be X windows dependencies scattered about? It seems like zinf is edging closer and closer to be an exclusive Xwindows app. The thing I have liked about zinf before is the flexibility of not having to do X if one doesn't want to. Let's try and keep it that way. Now if your trick with the autoconf can keep this new dependency from popping up that would do for an interrim solution. At this point, I don't recall if I installed glib or not.
