Libtool

Found the issue with regards to libtool.

For some reason the makefiles are looking for Libtool, which by default
ends up listing this:

LIBTOOL = $(SHELL) $(top_builddir)/libtool

Why it wants to put this in the top build directory I have no idea. As I
have libtool installed system wide by default on SuSE here:

/usr/bin/libtool

got a number of choices here:

On each failure go through to the Makefile that says that line and
change it.

Find a way to change either autogen or configure to let me point to the
correct place.
