As an update to this, ASF recently released the 2.0 version of their
license, which is now GPL compatible.

This means that we could again consider entering the Incubator process.
Becoming an Apache project would mean getting to run the project within
their infrastructure (CVS, Bugzilla, mailing lists etc).
