Thanks, that is useful to know.

For each page I store the actual core content in one field and then 
have a series of fields for storing the page title, a short title for 
the menus, meta description, meta keywords, teaser text for putting as 
the alt/title text of links to the page.

Following what you are saying, I think I will play safe and just store 
the lot.
