"Quote Radu Herineann:
What is your vision on where the project should be heading, what are
the focus points for the next year and what are your methods and tools to
get it there? (more or less covered above)"
Like Chris I think the vision I have for Xaraya in the next year is summed
up with the platform. With light direction and the contributions of everyone
involved Xaraya can move forward with renewed energy and gaining some of its
respect back.
"Quote Radu Herineann:
How many hours would you say you will dedicate to Xaraya in a given
interval of time (e.g. per day or week)?"
I am around almost daily, I tend to focus on forums and mailing list first
then go into IRC, mainly so I can give each the attention they deserve.
"Quote Radu Herineann:
What are the precise and quantifiable goals/objectives by which one
would measure your performance as a member of the PMC?"
Since we have to work in a group, we must remember we will graded by how
well we not only work with others but lead.
Managing is a fine balance between knowing when to delegate and when to lead
by example and get your hands "dirty" so to speak.
Also in the past I have seen peoples offers for help dismissed because "it
was already there you just have to find it." What should happen there is
letting them help, if it is available already point it out to them, they
might be able to improve it and might have very valuable feedback on how it
should be presented.
Either way though at the end of the day Chris's answer on this is the
correct one Smile
"Quote Jojo:
4. What contributions have you made on a regular basis to the
project in the last year?"
My focus was mainly on testing and getting third party developers interested
in Xaraya, and managing to get one of them interested in Xaraya the Project.
I have also done lots of testing and feedback, and tried my best to spark
conversation and maybe help start the road to recovery.
I have also help lay out lots of plans both for Xaraya and for third party
development, visible third party development will be a great help to the
over all community.
Disclaimer: I tend to "micro manage" my thoughts and some things may be
misconstrued. Please feed free to ask any followup questions or feedback.
Again I want to thank everyone taking part in the process thus far.
