I am somewhat taken by this result. Given the activity this election 
generated on the mailing list I was led to assume there was some large 
pent up demand in the community that would have translated (frankly) 
into more nominations.

Given that the EOG has apparently made a serious effort to actively 
contact potential voters, I'd be interested once the votes are cast to 
hear from the EOG how many people actually voted, so as to have a data 
point on the size of the active community.
