Many ways you could do this... one would be with xar:if and the $_GET 
variable in php, like so...

<xar:if condition="isset($_GET['this']) and $_GET['this'] eq 'yep'">
some stuff in here will only display if the URL ends with the ?this=yep 
string
</xar:if>

Then any time ?this=yep is appended to the URL of the page, only the 
stuff in the conditional will display... reverse the logic in the 
condition to achieve the opposite effect.  Note that if you already have 
URLs that end in a query string, then you need to append &this=yep to 
the URL, instead of the question mark.  And if you want to reference 
such a URL in your template, you need to deal with the ampersand 
properly, like so:  &amp;this=yep

I think Xaraya might actually be "aware" of query strings in URLs, such 
that you can just do...

<xar:if condition="isset($this) and $this eq 'yep'">

...without using the php $_GET variable, but I don't remember.
