Ok, will investigate this further (i thought this too in the first time) - but 
if i watch event.log and ZMS.log (with debugs enabled) i can't find further 
requests against images or higher request volume then usual. There is no 
significant CPU time or IO-load to see before and when the ZOPE instance 
hangs.

We had runned some ZMS instances under high to very high load in the past and 
from time to time and NetBSD seems to handle this very well with ZOPE / ZMS.
