Mysql Administrator and Query Browser installation problems

Hi All, 

I had Mysql 4.1 database server installed on windows XP professional service
pack 2 
in addition to database server I had Mysql Administrator 1.0 and Mysql Query
Browser. 

Mysql Query browser crashed one day and stopped working. I got this error: 

"Exception EMyxError in module MysqlQueryBrowser.exeat 00FD4EA. Error while
loading stored connections. Error number 3." 

I got the similar issue with Mysql Administrator, though Mysql 4.1 database
server is working fine with command line tool. 

I tried several times to uninstall and install both GUI tools. But keep
getting the similar exceptions. So I uninstalled MySql database server 4.1
and installed MySql db server 5.0. I installed latest version of MySQL query
browser and MySql Administrator too. But MySql query browser and
administrator never worked again. I keep getting the above mentioned
problem. 

any help to solve this problem will be appreciated.
