I  personally would love to see ups resurrected on Mac OS X in 64 bit, =
preferably
with threads.  I've had trouble using it anywhere for the last few =
years, and
it's made debugging much more difficult.

It seems like everyone wants to build huge integrated development =
environments
with built-in debuggers that are cumbersome to set up, difficult to use, =
and not=20
nearly as convenient, powerful, and elegant as ups.  It's had a =
significant effect
on my productivity.  ddd (for example) is a bit flakey everywhere I've =
tried it.

Does anyone know if Mark Russell (or Rod Armstrong) is still knocking =
around
somewhere?  Or is there anyone else who knows enough about ups to get it
running on a mac?
