SARES1 is the "standalone utilities" volume so it is iplable (or should be) from pretty much any valid device address. The SA utilities each have their own specific device requirements for console and control input, so read up on those utilities if you have a need to use them and adjust your CNF file accordingly.
In my experience with V1.13, volume xDRES1 (depending on the ADCD release, "x" can be S or H or Z, etc.) MUST be mounted at device address A80 and volume xDSYS1 MUST be mounted at address A82. Though not absolutely required, the xDRES2 volume should probably be mounted at address A81, but it is not absolutely required to be there.
Another firm requirement of V1.13 if you are looking at activating DB2 is that volume xDDBAR MUST be mounted at address AA3. That may or may not be true for activating IMS as well, haven't done anything with IMS so I do not know that for sure.
If you do not already have it, this Redbook is very helpful: SG24-6204. You can search for it at the main Redbooks website.
Also very helpful are the IBM manuals SG24-7721, -7722 and -7723. If you don't have them google is your friend. The -05 editions seem to be written for the V1.13 setup, so try to get them.

Well that's obviously not going to work if SARES1 is not the "sys res"
(doesn't have SYS1.NUCLEUS) on it.
