OpenAFS 1.4 Release Candidate 7 now available

The OpenAFS Gatekeepers are pleased to announce the availability of
OpenAFS version 1.4 Release Candidate 7.  Source files and currently
available binaries may be accessed via the web at:

    http://www.openafs.org/dl/openafs/candidate/1.4.0-rc7/

Important changes since release candidate 6 include:

* WINDOWS: Autogeneration of unique Product IDs for each MSI

* WINDOWS: Proper failover in case of volume salvage or move

* WINDOWS: Correction to requested Kerberos 5 ticket lifetime

* SOLARIS10: Correction to handling of renamed directories

* SOLARIS10: Fix some of the bugs that would result in kernel
  panics when the nfs version of the kernel module is used

This is the final release candidate for 1.4.0.   This coming weekend
the Gatekeepers will re-brand the source code as 1.4.0 final and
begin the process of collecting binaries in preparation for formal
announcement of 1.4.0 within the next couple of weeks.

Please assist us by testing this release candidate and providing
