Creating joystick drivers for Linux

Hello guys!

I need some help to create a custom joystick driver for Linux. I already created the
hardware and is working fine.After some look, I think the best way to start is to
develop the driver to write the joystick data to the /dev/js? via linux module.
This is correct? Or I´m going to the wrong way? If anybody have some linux skills, please
help me with ideas or documentation to do this!

Thanks again and I REALLY NEED HELP WITH THIS!
