can't find files when loading roms

I'm new to roms and emulators and have been searching a lot for answers,
including forum archives, FAQs, and google. The advance products are
very cool. The biggest challenge I have is trying to load some of the
roms I have. I get errors on a lot of them that there are missing files,
like decoder.2 and decoder.3, or I get an error like:
136001.213 NOT FOUND

Can anyone tell me how to resolve these?

I've also played around with AdvanceMenu and AdvanceMame. I did some
customization on AdvanceMenu, such as the sounds and stuff. I'd like to
do the same customizing with AdvanceCD, but so far I haven't found a way
of doing that. 

Can this be done? Maybe I'm missing some documentation that discusses
this?
