It's definately possible. I've got it set up and running just fine. Unfortunately, I can't give you detailed instructions right now since I'm not at home. But, to get you started: Install X (hopefully already done) log in as the user you're going to use to play games with edit (or create) the .xinitrc file so it's first line is: enlightenment advmenu (I use enlightenment as a window manager.. you could use ratpoison or something completely different) from the commandline type: startx and it should load into X and start AdvMenu right away. The next thing you need to do is make the system boot into X as that user. I don't recall how I did this right off hand, but I believe you need to set your startup runlevel to 5 (graphical startup). Beyond that, you'll probably need to configure a graphical login manager (xdm, gdm, kdm, etc.) to automatically log in the user you want to run your games as.
