I didn't see a response to this, and I'm having the same issue. It looks like as of 0.96.0, advv and advcfg are only compiled "if needed" but we seem to have a difference of opinion on the "if needed" part [my only graphics driver is svgalib]. I dug around in the Makefiles a bit to see where this was conditionally being compiled and found a workaround: After running configure, my main Makefile had the line: CONF_LIB_DIRECT= I manually changed it to: CONF_LIB_DIRECT=yes This caused it to compile the missing utilities. Just quickly looking through the configure script, I'm not sure how this is ending-up blank, it looks like it should explicitly be either "yes" or "no" but someone that has a better handle on shell scripting could maybe spot the problem...or, maybe I'm just doing something completely wrong. -----Original Message----- From: advancemame-users-admin-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org [mailto:advancemame-users-admin-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org] On Behalf Of Christopher Allmark Sent: Saturday, May 14, 2005 3:58 PM To: advancemame-users-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org Subject: [advancemame-users] ADVCFG & ADVV - What The Happend? After tearing my hair out all day trying to figure out why my new linux build wasn't working I found out that as of 0.96.0 ADVCFG and ADVV are no longer built by default. There is no clue as to how to build them though... Can anyone help? Thanks, Chris _________________________________________________________________ Want to block unwanted pop-ups?
