I used advmame with my pal/ntsc tv in msdos some years ago (I think last version I tryed was 0.86), some days ago I decided to get back in advmame but I´m getting problem everywhere.

First, my vga, an Asus Radeon 9600 XT is supposed to be supported but advmame/advcfg just crash if I try to load them. Just for be sure I installed AdvanceCD on a HD and I got this (even though detecthw.exe says "Your video board pci id is 1002:4152, this video board is supported by AdvanceCD 2.3.0) : UNABLE TO INITIALIZE THE VIDEO DRIVER. THE ERRORS ARE: FB: VIDEO BOARD NOT SUPPORTED. ERROR 19 (NO SUCH DEVICE).

At that point I though, well..I´ll install my old geforce2mx 400. Ok, so I installed, and modified advance cd to use my previous monitor settings (the ones I´ve always used without any problem at all in msdos with that card), and all I got was out of sync output in most games.

I decided to reedit my configuration with advcfg and followed the procedure that always worked for me:

1.- NTSC 60
2.- PAL/NTSC TV
3.- EASY CENTERING..and............

"The video mode is incompatible with the monitor limitations"

I´ve tryed everything, but I cant center or adjust the image using those parameters. In fact I redid my video configuration again with an old advcfg, and launched again advmame....results...... almost every game gets out of sync. The bad part is I´ve tested every video mode those games use in my old advcfg and ALL THEY WORKED PERFECTLY :(

So, I dont have a clue about what to do. For me "The video mode is incompatible with the monitor limitations" message after configuring properly advcfg is has no sense. It´s a bug, or what?

Thats the advmame.rc file I´ve always used without any trouble and getting perfect resolutions most of the time.
