Hi all. Can anyone tell me if this is a dumb idea or not? I've got a 15.75hz arcade monitor (horizontal). I'm wrestling with the whole drama of horizontal vs vertical games. I can run 240 lines quite nicely that fill the screen. I can also run 288 lines nicely, but I have to adjust the physical monitor vsize down to get them all on the screen. I tried to find a software config that will allow me to have both 240 and 288 onscreen at once and fill the screen, but no joy. What I'm thinking about doing is building a little circuit that will flip the monitor vsize control between two configurations, and driving that switch off a keyboard led. Then I can script the switch in advmame for vertical games vs horizontal. Any thoughts or suggestions? JC Please consider our environment before printing this email.
