I'm running two Linux arcades with Matrox cards - one G400 and one
G200. They are solid as a rock and produce just about every
resolution I need. I use svgalib on them mixed with the framebuffer
for the console side of things. In other words, I can see the Linux
console at boot time and to work on the machine, but I use svgalib
behind AdvanceMAME and AdvanceMenu. I use no X11 whatsoever on either
box.

Works like a charm. If you need more details on the config, let me
know. I'll be moving my existing website (pre-Matrox) to a new blog
soon and will update all the configuration information for anyone who
wants it.
