Previously I had advance mame/menu set up on my linux system running an
older version of the kernel and svgalib. I recently upgraded my system
and am now running kernel 2.6.15-r1 and svgalib 1.9.21-r1. If i run the
old kernel and the old svalib advance mame runs fine. If i run the new
kernel and new svgalib advance mame does not, The result is a blank
screen. I know svgalib is running as I can run the demo programs such as
vgatest and everything works out perfectly.

At this point I'm assuming a config issue with advance mame or an
incompatibility with svgalib 1.9.21-r1. I saw in the advance mame
history support was for 1.9.20. Are there any known incompatibility with
1.9.21 or should things work out fine? I get the same blank screen
results with advv and advcfg but I don't really trust those as a gage as
I could never get those programs to work even when I had advnace mame
running prior. Monitor clock and range are set to the monitors spec.
Anything else I should look at that I may have overlooked?

Thanks
