advancemenu - remember the last selected game?

Hi all,
  I built and arcade machine and I am powering it with
linux/advancemenu/advancemame and a 27 inch TV. Everything seems to be
working awesome! For all that contribute to this, THANK YOU!!! YOU ALL
ROCK!!!

I have a couple questions...
1. is there a way to have advancemenu remeber the game that was just
selected after you close xmame and return to advancemenu?  Say I scroll
down to game 1,153 on the 300th page, i play it, i escape out of the
the game (and advancemame) and when i come back i would love to have
the selected game be the same one i was just playing. right now it goes
to the first game on the top of the list.

2. not sure on this one... I have an nvidia card with a S-Video out on
it. I have it enabled in linux to run through X windows. I have direct
rendering working. I am pretty much using the defaults aside from
device_video_mode = fullscreen nd i changed the font sizes to 24 to i
could try to kill some of the blurriess froms-video/tv... I tried to
get it working on the console but I guess the card is not supported, it
is a "NVIDIA Corporation NV36.4 [GeForce FX 5700VE]" using the latest
nvidia drivers for X. The screen/menu/games are kinda blurry and
grainy.. My TV is a 27 inch NTSC tv (newish). I am not sure what I can
do to try and get this better... Does anyone know of some tweaks or
suggestions to help here?
