Re: AdvMAME Opens in Tiny Window

Thanks for the tips. I did some research prior to starting the project
and I decided AdvMAME with an ATI Radion 7500 card connected to a TV
using component input (red-white-yellow) would give me the best results.
I just got my TV today, so I will be doing some testing over the next
several hours. :-)

Hmmm. I haven't tried this with a TV. I know in the docs there's some
issue regarding TV out on cards. I wouldn't use Advancemame for a PC
monitor, that's for sure. I either use the regular mame or mame32/UI
with stock settings (either DirectDraw with hardware stretch or D3D,
depending on which era of mame it is) which gives a fairly clean
display; or I run all games at 640x480 with hardware stretch (D3D after
the video re-write actually stretches automatically) if I want some
hardware scanlines. They're very fine but noticeable.

For a TV, since you have various options depending on what interface
you'll be using - S-video, component, scart....I wouldn't use composite
or coaxial
- I suggest you search over at arcadecontrols.com - especially in the
case of scart, where you may actually want to use Advancemame.
