But, if you are
"
Administrator
     Brian Matherly
"

then, it would be more helpful if you include that in your signature, so
that we know that you then know more than we, as end users, know, about
what is happening with GRAMPS, and, what it can and cannot do.

A person like me, who is a less knowledgeable end user, if I make a
claim about what GRAMPS can and cannot do, should not be taken as being
as credible as if a person who qualifies what the person says, by
stating that the person is a developer or package maintainer, of the
product.

I can state what I have experienced, in using the product, and, perhaps,
make a suggestion, if I appear to have a little knowledge that may help
a person who posts a query, and, I can ask questions, and, I can make
suggestions that I believe might make using the product, better for me,
and, possibly or probably, for other end users. But, if a person would
post an answer, qualifying it, by showing that the person is involved in
the product development, then, I must defer to that person, if it is a
question of knowledge of the product, and, accept that that person knows
more than me (which, in the case of GRAMPS, probably does not require a
great amount of knowledge, to know more than me).

Otherwise, if a person posts something, making an assertion that differs
from what I believe, why should I believe that person to be more correct
than my belief, if that person does not qualify what the person asserts?
