Re: Please some one write blog on gmt 5 installation

tar.gz file is an archive (a box with many archives) + compressed (gzip) file

you need first to uncompress the file with: gunzip myfile.tar.gz

then you need to move to your choice directory and open the package
(now named myfile.tar) with

tar -xvvf myfile.tar
