Even if one would make those configurable it would still apply to all items of a certain subsystem which is less than ideal for polling sensors-information as reading those is rather slow on many systems. > for me it would be extra convenient since some of the things i do momentarily push the cpu > very hard and i like to see cpu core, casing temps and cpu fan speeds along with the VCore > voltage quickly at a glance to determine if i am approaching safe limits or not. the > ability to have those positioned directly under the cpu displays will give me the core > temps , case temp vcore and cooler fan all at a glance rather than having to search them > all out. > > also the ability to chart the sensors into their own little chart with labels for high low > and average would be incredibly useful. > > just some ideas.. i have a feeling my needs are somewhat unique though so i dont know if > these things would be popular enough to add in. I guess for such special uses it would be better to write an extra plugin for gkrellm that allows different polling times per sensor and also adds graphs. If the plugin itself gets better than the builtin support maybe it could even replace builtin functionality.
