Hello, I have a feature suggestion for the "Builtins->CPU->Options->SMP Charts Select" department. The problem I'm trying to address is that I just got a new machine with dual-hex core processors. So, when hyperthreading (or whatever they call it these days) is enabled, you end up with 24 CPUs being shown, which extends far below the bottom of my screen. I understand that this is why there is a "Composite CPU" option: to consolidate all those plots into a single quantity. However, what I want to see is whether any of the CPUs is being maxed out by my multi-threaded application. So, the quantity that I really would like to have displayed is a maximum, single-CPU load. If the current radio-button format were changed to a check-box format, then the user could choose to have any of the following options active: "Real CPUs", "Composite CPU", "Max Single CPU". Best Regards, -- and thank you for your work on this very useful piece of software Glen Mabey ______________________________________________ Gkrellm mailing list [email protected] Read archives-join-leave-set RSS feed: http://archive.lists.netservicesgroup.com This service is provided by The Network Services Group: http://www.netservicesgroup.com
