i guess it boils down to "depth first" or "breadth first" (or "breadth
only" so to speak). i am not sure, as they both have merits, perhaps
make it configurable? if not configurable, i would opt for "breadth
only", just to keep things sane ("breadth first" with recursion would be
*crazy*). so to answer your question, child_a and child_c.

adding that functionality would be cool.

i would still advocate to make "Page Up" and "Page Down" do the "right
thing" based on context. however i am not the developer, i am happy with
gqview, just thought i would bring something up.
