I'm not saying if I think this idea would be wise or not.

I thought maybe you were going to suggest Page Up/Down would wrap around
to the start of the list, perhaps with some visual indication you had
wrapped around.

The next directory would be child_c

You'd want to have backspace to go up to the next level of parent_1
you'd probably still need to click to get to the granchild folders
