it sounds like it is already implemented in some fashion, that is, john
said that there is a recursive slideshow option. this would simply allow
"manual slideshows" the option of changing directories without a lot of
extra hassle.

perhaps make what page up/down does configurable:

radio button:

* no change (same as it is now)
* wrap in current directory
* go to sibling directory
* go to parent/child directory
