Hi, I understand gqview is a viewer, only a viewer, and that's good. But I'm looking for a simple editor, for common tasks like: - cropping - brightness/contrast control (aka threhshold/gamma) - histogram visualization/modification - colour balance. The gimp is *way* too slow ! (even on a P4 3GHz 1Gb RAM, with 6Mpixel images) I'm a long time unix user, so I still use "xv" ! ImageMagick is very nice for automated jobs, but its UI is awful. Is there something more modern, with similar features ? Do you think that we need something intermediate between gqview and the gimp ?
