Base doesn't use bdb. Of course, it might be worthwile to change that as
bdb5 now has SQL backend, but.. ;)

Configuration is stored in bdb, as well as the extension "registry".
See the various "*.db"s there.

Note that probably - by using db5 - you make user dirs created by your OOo
breaking with "normal" OOos - new db format etc :-)

Patch itself looks OK from a *very* quick look, though.
Can you file an issue upstream for that, too? We then could just add it
there and backport it then :-)
