Hi folks, played a bit with Muthu's / Florian's desktop-cmd-bulk-conversion.diff tonight, which provides a nice -convert-to option for bulk format-A-to-format-B conversion. This convers pdf export already, I was just missing a way to also exercise the plain printing code paths inside OOo (pdf export is almost, but not exactly, the same) - so now there's also a -print-to-file option (see patch, or soffice -h for further info). Especially useful for doing regression testing with Caolan's neat convwatch pixel comparison technique; Miklos & me hacked up a quick script to compare two ps files page-by-page, for the while here, but should move into ooo-build/bin (and eventually replace ooconvwatch there): http://users.freedesktop.org/~thorsten/oodocdiff.sh Generating jpegs from the postscript is absolutely dwarfed by OOo doing the printout, so caching those (like the java convwatch can do) is imo not useful - but sticking some reference PS into an extra repo is something we should definitely consider. What do you think? -- Thorsten
