Well some of the updates worked and what didn't I got from redhat
errata. It appears that things worked good minus the updates that never
downloaded.

The lock feature is puzzling. I just wanted to lock out a kernel
upgrade (I don't upgrade my kernels I install them keeping the old one
around until the next kernel release where I drop the oldest kernel
install. I was able to get it to ignore the kernel with:

  rc la 'kernel'

I couldn't find a way to get the version number to work or a way to
restrict on channel and/or Importance.
