Re: Question about AA

This isn't an official answer, but I was told you also have to edit the
file /etc/X11/XftConfig

Look for the lines that say:-

#
# Don't antialias small fonts
#
match
    any size < 14
    any size > 8 
    edit antialias=false;

And comment them out. If you are on a laptop you can also add the line

match edit rgba=rgb;

to the bottom of the file - something to do with inter-pixel aliasing.

Hope this helps - it did for me.
