FWIW, I just installed the snapshots on my Red Hat 7.2 laptop last night, and I'm having the same problem. Clicking Applications->Desktop Preferences->Theme, then selecting any theme does not "instantly apply" the theme change to GNOME2 apps. I'm not having the same problem with my desktop machine (also RH 7.2), although it has the same packages, as far as I know. Is it possible to work around this by setting a GConf key or something?
