Red-Carpet Doesn't Upgrade

Since I upgraded from SuSE82 to SuSE90 a few weeks ago, red-carpet shows
no channels to select.

I ran into this same problem about 6 months ago when I upgraded from
SuSE81 to SuSE82.

There needs to be a way to manually set the distro and select channels.
The automatic settings are just not reliable. I don't want to have to do
what I did last time (uninstall rcd, rug, red-carpet and delete all
associated cache and conf files and reinstall everything) to get it to
recognize my new distro.
