- Actually, SUSE Linux 9.1 incorporated some Ximian patches, but not
that many.
- 9.2 contains considerably more.
- That being said, neither contains significant Ximian branding, and the
Ximian influence wouldn't be obvious to casual users.
- In terms of the anticipated Ximian/SUSE hybrid, you may be thinking of
Novell Linux Desktop, which is the successor to SLD and based on the
SLES 9 code base.  NLD is still under development.  I've been running
development versions of NLD for ages, though, and I'm quite happy with
it.  NLD has been getting a great deal of attention from the monkeys.
It is heavily Ximian-branded, assuming Ximian is spelled "Novell". ;-)
- XD2 is based on Gnome 2.2 and is thus a downgrade for anything older
than SUSE Linux 9.1.  At this point, I would expect 9.2 to upgrade from
9.0/XD2 fairly cleanly, though I haven't actually tested that.
