The technique I've used for mingw-get-gui is an option, (overriding the single catalogue file, for those who opt in). Another would be to offer a complete modified catalogue set, from a distinctly different host URL, with opt in by adjustment of the repository configuration in profile.xml Other than these, I don't think there's any alternative, without significant further development of mingw-get; (I eventually plan to add a policy configuration option, which would allow users to opt in or out of upgrades to non-stable classified releases, but that's still a long way off). -- Regards, Keith. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Everyone hates slow websites.
