Hi,

Surely not knowing c++ won't disqualify you immediately but definitely it's
a noticeable handicap. In my experience people who took java and then moved
to c++ found issues with pointers, but surely everyone is different and
might be easy to tackle for you. Many of the people who applied till now
have a certain level of knowledge of c++ already (usually several years
working with it). So surely it will be more difficult (both being picked
and doing the actual project), but it's not possible to say for certain as
it depends on allocated slots, the actual proposal being submitted and many
other indicators.
Actually not many sent applications for the game showing cs capabilities.
Regarding the project you choose, well for now we don't have applications
on it, just like in the vfs project, also feel free to propose something
which isn't in the list but might be of interest to the project.

just my 2 cents.
