I wanna see Kirby's (or your) movie, and I just linked up to podcasts for
your 'casts, but here:

Any decent (even cheap) condenser microphone (they're pretty much all
condenser mics these days) will suit you.
Condenser mics --read: computer microphones-- have a very flat frequency
response, and usually respond equally from 30 to 18,000 Hz or so.  The
reason they don't sound "good" to a person is because the person is used to
hearing sound after it's been modified POST-recording.  IOW, you _want_ the
frequency response "flat" and you can twiddle its apparent quality later,
with a good sound editor.

Condenser mics are inherently better than diaphragm mics regardless of the
brand name, so just don't spend huge bucks on something that _adds_ 'color'
to your recording, when you've probably already got (or can get for cheap) a
perfectly serviceable microphone....
