Many would probably agree that the web interface for the new forum is
better than the Yahoo one.  However neither come close to the flexibility
and functionality of being able process individual mails in your chosen
e-mail client (which has always had better presentation, better grouping,
and a superb search function compared to the web interface)

The advantage of individual e-mails becomes even more apparent when
subscribing to multiple forums / mailing lists, where the need to log on to
numerous separate sites would soon become unmanageable.

So, from a personal point of view, the forum move is from a clunky web
interface with an excellent e-mail alternative, to a slightly less clunky
web interface with very limited e-mail alternative.

Your choice of course, but a retrograde step in my opinion.
