Hello!

Also, 'uncross' allows you to do all arbitrarely
complex path operations by hand. I.e. you are not
constrained to union/intersection/subtract, but may
compose new objects using arbitrary combination
of original path segments (needs some patience
for complex objects).

I had to ask Lauris this myself. :)

His explanation was good. Basically, anywhere line segments cross, a
node is put and the line is 'cut'.

This is useless with filled objects, but with several intersecting line
segments, it cuts them where they cross, making sections easy to remove
accurately.
