Several months ago I upgraded fontconfig to 2.2.0 to fix a crash problem in 
AbiWord (I think the crash was in some other library, but I had to upgrade 
fontconfig). Since then, all Type 1 fonts have been unavailable, at least to 
most programs, and are replaced with BigNoiseMusic, which displays everything 
as a mishmash of musical symbols. How do I fix this?
