i also tried scribus, but it has only svg-import support. export is pdf (very good pdf support) and svg. so it's not an option for converting svg to pdf/eps.

i also tried the most recent imagemagick - it supports svg, but as it seems it only can render bitmap graphics from svg.

i also tried finding any ghostscript-driver for svg-support - also no success.

the only working solution i found is commercial:
http://www.pdftron.com/pdf2svg

so sodipodi could be the first open-source svg vector graphics tool with build-in eps/pdf import. so it could be possible to convert eps/pdf to svg.
