Re: Question on Developer

We're not really considering Gnome or KDE because as Andrew pointed
out (in his grumbly way) it wouldnt have much of a point with the
current state of Y. It may be more beneficial to work on other parts
which are more needy. A friendly reminder to those who want to use Y
as a desktop system now: it's really not one yet. We can't just try to
hack it into one by porting Qt/Gtk/GnuStep to Y. Because that's what Y
would be: one big hack.

More time would be spent on keeping Qt/Gtk ports up to speed with the
latest release than getting Y's widget set properly filled out. That
is definitely the wrong path to travel down.
