Hello Ben, Brandon, Liam, William, Dustin and to all the others. I'll try to answer all your replys in 1 Mail. First of all, because of Mark very long absence i guess he isn't interested in Y-Windows any longer. So it is a very goad approach by Dustin to make a new Source Tree along with it's own Project Site. Dustin i really like what you are doing i alaready checked out a copy of your branch for testing. Wiliam your archives are almost right. Some day in the last year Mark seems to be turnt away from Project. I think we should do the following: Create a new WebSite with more recent and Up2Date Project Documentation. Create a new Branch with different Patch Level's and all of Dustin Progress by now. Reanimate the old community to get more help with all the work. But the most important thing is a new Road Map dedicated to alle the things left off by now. It is very important to create a new stable release with a fixed Patch level that way new developer's can easily check out a basic version of Y- Windows. So it'll be easier for them deciding to participate. The Second thing is WebSite with better ways of Community communication. Something like a Forum would be more accurate than this Maillinglist. Now to my Part. At this time i do not have much code that i can donate to the Project but i can offer the following thinks. I own of 2 dedicated online server with +15Mbits connection more than 1TB Traffic per month based on Debian. It think these 2 Server will be enough to host give the Project a new home. So i will create a new WebSite along with a Forum, Chats an all these other crap needed for a community. The other thing which seems to be more important, is a guide of how to compile, programm and use y-windows. Because i actually try to figure out the code myseld i'll write a Guide for compiling and programming Y-windows in Dustin's current state. Additionally i'll collect a new RoadMap in cooperation with all interested developers. This will definitly help developers to coordinate the development of Y-Windows. I know that's a lot of much information for such a small mail so i better came to an end. Y- Windows is a community based project. So it needs all the help it can get. A start would be if you all tell me what do you think about my plans or if have inspired you with an idea let me know! In my next mail i'll handout a list of things todo. So if you then decide to step out of the dark an do something then just let me now and i will help you as much as i can. Greets, Robert.
