I have an iPAQ 3630, 15MB flash and 32 MB SDRAM. I am using the "bootgpe.jfss2" image of familiar 0.6. "familiar-version" says "Familiar v0.6-pre1". "matchbox -v" gives "matchbox 0.3.6" I do not se that other dock apps create the same symptom. It seems like every time I click the miniapm it trows up a new info bubble on top of the old one, and the mem usage rises with every click. Maybe it does not clean up after itself? The other dock apps also pops a new info bubble but they do not cause the mem usage to rise. I do not know if I can trust the output of ps, but VmSize for miniapm is 3892 and only 3388 for rxvt-aa. From these numbers it seems like miniapm uses a lot of mem. Wheter /proc/apm gives 'normal' results... I think so. an example: cat /proc/apm -> 1.13 1.2 0x02 0x01 0x00 0xff 100% 300 min It may be the kernel that is causing my problems, since when I try to start a program that does not fit the available memory the kernel kills any other process to make room.
