To my sorrow, I don't have time to install 3.5.4.1-rc2 on my SL-5500. And, AFAIK, the kernel for the model is the same. Suspend using menu, almost always works (given that you don't much unflushed data in buffers). It be related to some Cancel button interactions between opie-reader, opie and kernel?
