Seems you have already decided that anything qtopia is not up to your quality standards, you diss it so much, I am beginning to wonder about your intentions and if you are really a GPE develop in disguise. > As TT cares for developers I think it is their duty to present a > Qtopia Roadmap > and give a Technology Preview - like they did with Qt4 - so we could > evaluate > if developing of applications is enough or if we are forced to design > a new > platform. Qt is an widget toolkit to build software. Qtopia is a software product, which is why Trolltech does not provide a tech preview. We don't publish our roadmap for the very same reason. I don't know any company that does publish it's roadmap. Anyone is free to enquire about Qtopia roadmap. [email protected] If someone does not want to pay royalties, they are free to choose the GPL version, or free to go elsewhere. Trolltech is a business, and royalties help pay for further development. You are also free to develop a new platform. > kind regards > holger > > PS: I really hope TT follows a clear Roadmap and Policy on Qtopia4! > Not the > self hearted approach as of > today. > _______________________________________________ > > http://opie.handhelds.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/DeveloperWikiIndex > > Opie-devel mailing list > [email protected] > https://handhelds.org/mailman/listinfo/opie-devel -- Lorn 'ljp' Potter Trolltech Qtopia Community Manager Opie Core Developer http://qtopia.net _______________________________________________ http://opie.handhelds.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/DeveloperWikiIndex Opie-devel mailing list [email protected] https://handhelds.org/mailman/listinfo/opie-devel
