Re: Transferring icons

Congrats on your upgrade; it's always exciting to have a new gadget!

Several years ago I upgraded from an m130 to a Zire71, and last year
to a T/E also. I regularly beam appointments between all three
devices, using the m130 as a backup device and the other two as
current. My point is that the m130 is OS4 & Lo Res, while the Z71 &
T/E are both OS5 & Hi res. The m130 equivalent of the same icon I use  
for the other two devices is never beamed equally. Even if they are
in the same order in IconMgr (I use DateBk5 on all three Palms) within
each Default icon set the icon scrambles when going from OS4 to OS5,
and vice versa.

thread, particularly Message 55968 for specific how-tos. (I had to ask
for help with this topic, and the results were very satisfactory.) You
must follow the instructions exactly for the desired results, however.
One instruction is for icons which are already in the desired places
within the set; one instruction is for icons in mixed-up order when
neatness is also desired. It takes a little work to achieve, but the
end result is well worth it. If you need more help, you can join &

purchased a Palm TX and upgraded to DateBk 5.4.  I have also
downloaded Icon Mgr onto my TX.  I have indicated that I want the
icons to be selected by number rather than order, but they are still
not coming up with the right appointments.  Is there any way to have
them match, or do I need to reassign them all again? 

Perhaps I need to get the numbers of the icons on the old Palm?  How
do I do that?
